I wanted to remind everyone about how excited I am for the Day of Good Deeds December 7th. (1pm) I hope everyone will come and bring along many new people. At this time of the year we all usually think about giving. On the Day of Good Deeds we will be giving material items to others in need and giving our happy thoughts to each other during our pot luck dinner.
Giving is a very expansive subject to discuss! One of the most important things you can give is YOURSELF. When you look at your life, where is your happiness? I find my happiest days sharing my heart with you and everyone I love. You can give your heart this year in many ways. A SMILE is always an easy way to help and share love with everyone you meet. Look around you, Smiling is a contagious event. Start it up in your world. Smile at strangers. Let the driver who just cut you off have a smile instead of some other gesture representing yourself. It is a proven fact that the act of smiling makes you happier! Give your heart to the people in your life that deserve it AND to those who don’t. BE PRESENT in your daily life. LISTEN when someone is talking, it could mean the whole world to them.
There are so many other ways to give. Be creative! I know that I like to give and receive gifts. The act of gracious receiving is also the other half of giving. It’s the Yang to the Yin of this subject! Accepting a gift and just saying “THANKS” is sometimes a hard thing for a “giver” to do. However it allows someone else to be the giver. This is GOOD. So accept all gifts graciously, from smiles to the material this year, and be MERRY!
